DHS won't explain its order of 450 million hollow point bullets
After 9/11, the United States government created the Department of Homeland Security to prevent future acts of terrorism and deal with other domestic issues. Now in order to keep doing such, the agency is asking for 450 million hollow point bullets.
For those who may not understand the name, a "hollow point" bullet has a cavity at the tip which causes the bullet to flatten out on impact, causing far more injury than a non-expanding full metal jacket round. Hollow points are illegal to use in war, I might add. So the DHS is not only buying enough bullets to shoot every living American they are buying ammunition that is illegal to use in combat against enemy troops, which is designed to inflict the maximum amount of damage and death.
